Pastor Arvetta Woody
Pastor Arvetta Woody is a native of Newark, NJ. She is the proud single mother of four beautiful children. In 1999, she received her Nursing Assistant Certificate. One key scripture that has been a source of encouragement to her is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”
Pastor Arvetta Woody gave her life to Christ at a young age at Shiloh Temple Church of God where Pastor Virginia Shaw is the overseer. At Shiloh Temple she served as a praise and worship leader, youth leader, Vice President of the usher board as well as a nurse for her pastor. Pastor Woody was a faithful member for nineteen years.
She was licensed and ordained in 2002 by Bishop Carter in Greenville, South Carolina as an Evangelist. She later attended the Community Chapel Bible Institute in Newark, NJ for Studies in Evangelism under Bishop John Jackson.
Pastor Woody has traveled many places preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ which includes retreats, worship services, and women’s conferences. She is the mentor of a social group called PURE (Peace Unity, Respect and Equality) which is based out of her workplace. She mentors young women and men.
She is well known for supporting other ministries and loving people of all races and religions. She has a great love and passion for altar work and armor bearing. Her main desire is to be a servant and encourage people to accept Jesus Christ in their lives and to be delivered from all their iniquities.
Pastor Woody later became a member at Kingdom Covenant Ministries International under Apostle Vernon Huffman. She served as an Associate Minister and an adjutant for four years. The Lord then led her to Healing of the Heart Ministry where she served as a worship leader and praise team leader, Sunday School teacher, and associate minister.
Pastor Woody is an anointed voice from God for this Era of believers. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit and her confirmation through her Pastor while working in ministry, Pastor Woody received the call to walk into the office of Pastorate in The Lord gave her Evangelism on the Move Outreach Ministry (A new birthing). Pastor Woody’s purpose and goal through this ministry is to reach the lost. 2 Timothy 2:19 states, “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” Although she has endured many struggles and warfare, she is not ashamed because it has made her who she is today. Pastor Woody has a personal passion for Street Ministry, because she was a victim that overcame the streets of abuse and battery. Her testimony is one that will be a life changer for those who need strength and guidance in a time of need.
In 2017 Pastor Woody was diagnosed with stomach cancer, but thanks be unto God she is a survivor as of June, 2019. Pastor Woody says, “That what could not kill me, only pushed me to become stronger and greater.” She is a firm believer that life is worth living and living is worth her life. Her favorite scripture is Romans 8:28 which states, “And we know all things work together for good to them that love God.”
Pastor Woody is now covered under the great Apostle Jeffery C.Woody at The Cathedral at the House of Refuge Intl. Ministries located in Newburgh NY and is truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful house of worship.
